How to leave Badger and request account deletion.

Last updated: 23 July 2026

If you have a Badger account, you can delete it from inside the Badger app. If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion by contacting us from the email address linked to your account.

This page explains the steps to request deletion, the types of data that are deleted, and the limited information we may need to retain where required by law, security, billing, fraud prevention or dispute handling.

1.Delete your account in the app

If you can sign in to Badger, you can delete your account directly in the app:

  • Open the Badger app and sign in.
  • Go to Settings.
  • In the Account section, select Delete Account.
  • Follow the confirmation steps shown in the app.

Once confirmed, your account access is removed and Badger starts the deletion or anonymisation process for your account and associated app data.

2.Request deletion if you cannot access the app

If you cannot sign in, email us from the email address linked to your Badger account and ask us to delete your account.

Request account deletion

Please include the email address used for your Badger account. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request.

3.Data deleted or anonymised

Account deletion is intended to delete or anonymise active personal data associated with your Badger account, including where applicable:

  • account profile information and sign-in access;
  • journal entries, check-ins, task activity, missions, progress, rewards and related app content;
  • uploaded files linked to your account, including photos and audio attachments;
  • connected-provider tokens or account links, such as calendar or activity integrations;
  • organisation membership records used to provide sponsored access, where applicable.

If you have organisation-sponsored access, deleting your account removes your active app access and membership link. Your private journal, check-in and app content is not made available to the organisation through the organisation portal.

4.Data we may retain

We may retain limited information where this is necessary for legal, accounting, tax, payment, security, fraud prevention, audit, dispute handling or compliance reasons. This may include:

  • payment, invoice, subscription and refund records where legally required;
  • security logs, abuse-prevention records and records needed to protect the service;
  • support, privacy request and complaint correspondence;
  • backup copies until they are overwritten or deleted through normal backup cycles;
  • anonymised or aggregated information that no longer identifies you.

We keep retained information only for as long as we need it for the relevant purpose, as explained in our Privacy Policy.

5.Delete some data without deleting your account

You can also delete some Badger content without deleting your whole account. For example, you can delete journal entries and uploaded files from inside the app, and you can update editable profile information in your account settings.

6.Subscriptions and payments

Deleting your Badger account does not automatically cancel subscriptions or payments managed by Apple, Google Play, Stripe or another payment provider. If you have an active subscription, you should also cancel it through the store or payment provider where you purchased it.
